About Dr Louise Nairn CPsychol
I’m Dr Louise Nairn, a skilled and experienced chartered clinical psychologist who would like to help you understand, manage, or resolve your emotional and psychological concerns. My main therapy style is cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), although every client and situation requires an individually tailored treatment plan.
Experience and Expertise
In 1991 I achieved an MA in psychology from Edinburgh University, and in 1997 I received a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from University East London. Since then, I have gained more than 20 years of experience working as a clinical psychologist in the NHS, holding positions in GP surgeries, out-patient psychology services, sexual health clinics, a drug dependency unit and a community mental health team. During this time I have developed expertise in dealing with many problems, including:
